An Arizona judge has reinstated a TOTAL abortion ban from the 1800s, and we are jumping into action to fight back. This total abortion ban has no exceptions for rape or incest, requires jail time for doctors, pharmacists, and other medical providers, and was codified in 1901. Just what we need, laws written by dead white men restricting women’s freedom and human rights.

The state of reproductive healthcare access affects millions of women in Arizona. It is not an exaggeration to say that women will die under this ruling. Just three days ago, we learned that a teen girl in Arizona was denied life-saving medication because of this law.

Here’s how we can fight back:

✅ Help elect Katie Hobbs as Arizona’s next Governor. Katie Hobbs will do whatever it takes to repeal this draconian law and restore our reproductive freedoms. She will never be afraid to use her veto pen to block any legislation that compromises the right to safe, legal abortion care and will work tirelessly to stop these unprecedented attacks. She is dedicated to securing rights for the next generation of women in Arizona.

✅ Help elect Kris Mayes as the next Attorney General of Arizona. Kris Mayes believes the Arizona Constitution’s privacy clause overrides this abortion ban. She’s pledged to use the AZ Constitution in court to argue against it and will overturn the current Attorney General’s opinion of this total ban when she takes office. She will also use the AG’s office to stop local prosecutors from locking up medical providers for abortion care.

✅ Help flip the AZ legislature blue. Democrats are only two seats away in both the AZ House and the Senate. A Democratic legislature can repeal this pre-statehood total ban, other harmful laws, and re-affirm Arizonans’ right to privacy.

✅ Help elect Adrian Fontes as Secretary of State. He has vowed to broaden Arizona’s address confidentiality program to protect those seeking or providing care from public harassment or arrest.
