The pets have arrived!
PAWS Chicago rescue vans containing 53 dogs and cats arrived at the PAWS Chicago Medical Center last night from shelters directly impacted by Hurricane Ian. They were transported by our amazing volunteers who traveled to Florida's Gulf Coast to take pets already in those shelters, freeing up space for animals displaced by the disaster.
Some of them are sick or injured. All are traumatized. But now they're safe.

Scuttle and Mustache Sally are just two of the dogs and cats who are beginning their new lives in Chicago. They'll receive all the medical care, rehabilitation, training, and love they need before receiving the ultimate gift: a new family.

For many, the road is still long, with months of medical care, surgery, rehab, and foster care in their future.
Your generosity supports their rescue, as well as their care and rehabilitation at the PAWS Chicago Medical Center, the country’s most advanced hospital for homeless pets. Each pet will be given complete medical care, vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries and other treatments as needed.

We're grateful for our volunteers. And inspired by the generosity our PAWS community always demonstrates during natural disasters. Please help once again—and give homeless pets a second chance at life.
