John – this is a bit long, but I wanted to give you a candid, thorough update on the state of the race and what we’re seeing on the ground in New Hampshire.

We’ll get into more detail in a second, but here’s a summary: New Hampshire’s Senate race is closer than you think.

If you’re ready to make a donation, you can do so here:

Subject: Close Hold -- Update on the NH Senate Race

Hey all – I need to be clear with you about where things stand in our race.

We are being outspent by national Republicans.

* GOP groups are spending over $58 million on ads in New Hampshire.
* We’re being outspent, and the spending gap is widening. In the last three weeks of the election, Republicans are slated to spend $3.5 million more than Democrats.
* Don Bolduc just reported that "In the last week, he has already surpassed the amount raised during the entire year," while our fundraising has slowed down significantly. If this trend continues, GOP dominance on the airwaves will get even stronger.
* The NRSC is upping their spending in NH, and just booked an additional $1.1 million.

Public Polling is wrong – again.

* New Hampshire is a notoriously difficult state to poll. You should be leery of any public polling that shows Senator Hassan with a wide lead.
* Our internal polling shows Don Bolduc rapidly gaining ground.
* Democrats learned this the hard way in 2020 – when public polling showed Democratic Senate candidates with wide leads, only for them to lose on Election Day.

The national environment is incredibly difficult for Democrats.

* Democrats have not gained seats in a midterm election with a Democratic president since 1962 – 60 years ago. The narrative that the political environment has miraculously changed for Democrats is magical thinking.

We need the resources to make our case.

* We need to make the case directly to voters about the threat Bolduc poses to their fundamental rights — and that takes organizing and advertising.
* September was unprecedentedly slow for our fundraising. While Republican spending is ramping up, we are falling short of our initial projections and making significant budget cuts.

John, I need your help. It’s crunch time – and giving $5 [today/weekly] will go a long way in keeping this seat blue.
