Currently, the Biden administration is considering a disastrous new plan to expand new offshore oil and gas drilling on millions of acres of land. The Department of Interior is accepting public comments on the Administration’s proposal, but the deadline is tomorrow at 11:59 pm ET.
John,
This summer, we saw unprecedented climate chaos — deadly wildfires, historic droughts, and extreme flooding. Now with the start of hurricane season in the Atlantic, several catastrophic storms have already hit Florida, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and more.
The clear culprit? Fossil fuels. We must take away their power and transition to clean energy. But the Biden administration’s new proposal would do the opposite by further delaying a just transition and putting millions of communities at risk of oil spills.
We must make our voices heard to support communities on the frontlines of this fight and demand that the Biden Administration end drilling on public lands and waters once and for all. So before the comment period closes tomorrow at 11:59pm ET, we need to gather as many comments as possible.
