There’s an old saying in politics: You win campaigns one voter at a time .

I had the chance to meet a voter in Eureka, who pulled me aside to ask me why I deserved their vote.

Honestly, there isn’t a fairer question that a voter could ask of me. And I do so much campaigning, I’ve gotten pretty quick at answering it. I said, “When was the last time Ann Wagner showed up for you?”

You’ll never guess their answer: the voter replied, “ Who’s Ann Wagner???"

To put a bow on this story, I’ll tell you I walked away from that conversation with one more confirmed supporter. One more for our field team’s Get Out The Vote list, and one closer to our win number for beating Ann Wagner.
