The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation is pleased to announce that Tiki Windley will join the staff of the Foundation as a program officer, overseeing its Community-Based Strategy.

The Foundation has made this hire to support its mission and the strategies set forward in its All For NC Framework for Grantmaking and Learning ([link removed]) . Tiki will implement the Foundation’s Community-Based Strategy ([link removed]) , which has three components: a Community Progress Fund, a Collaborative Problem-Solving approach, and supporting capacity building in under-resourced communities across North Carolina. She will start on Oct. 31, 2022.

“Tiki will be a tremendous addition to the Foundation as we continue to focus on change at the community level,” said Maurice “Mo” Green, executive director of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. “We know that true and lasting change grows from the ground up. Every community has unique assets and opportunities for improving the lives of its residents, and with Tiki’s leadership, we can help communities tap into their local resources.”

Tiki comes to the Foundation from her role as a Program Compliance Specialist at the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She previously worked with the United Way of the Greater Triangle and MDC. Tiki has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Elizabeth City State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University.

“For quite some time, I have admired the Foundation's commitment to provide resources to communities that help its residents become change agents,” said Tiki. “I am excited about creating opportunities for communities, and particularly communities of color, to become the architects and implementers of the change they want to see in their communities.”

The Foundation posted the program officer position in June 2022, which is based in Winston-Salem, NC. It received 70 applications for the position.
