** 🏆Winners of the UN SDG Action Awards Announced!

The winners ([link removed]) of this year’s UN SDG Action Awards were announced at a live ceremony ([link removed]) in Bonn, Germany on 27 September. The Ceremony celebrated changemakers and initiatives that drive transformative action around the world and featured inspiration and performances by Inna Modja, Mame Balla and Katlego Kolanyane-Kesupile, and included exciting speeches from the finalists ([link removed]) , judges ([link removed]) and more.
The 2022 winners ([link removed]) are:
* 🏆Mobilize Winner: SUPvivors say NO MORE is mobilizing millions of people across Ecuador and beyond respond to violence and abuse against children
* 🏆Inspire Winner: The Masungi Story is inspiring real-life environmental change through impactful storytelling in the Philippines
* 🏆Connect Winner: CyprusInno promotes peacebuilding through youth and innovation in Cyprus
* 🏆Changemaker Winner: Srishti Bakshi created a ripple effect of change on gender-based violence in India
* An Honourable Mention was also given to the humanitarian project Let’s Do It Ukraine ([link removed]) , which mobilized people across Ukraine to provide essentials and temporary shelter since the war started.

With 150 in-person participants at Deutsche Telekom in Bonn, and over 12,000 tuning in via a global live stream ([link removed]) , the message was the critical need for accelerated action and the need to ‘flip the script’ ([link removed]) on the trajectory of our future.
The carbon neutral ([link removed]) event had international sign language interpretation from 2020 Inspire Award Winners – Signs TV joining live from Kenya.
The Awards ([link removed]) — a flagship of the UN SDG Action Campaign, hosted by UNDP — sought initiatives that Mobilize, Inspire and Connect people to drive action towards a more sustainable future on a healthy planet — those that are flipping the script and rethinking how we live. The finalists ([link removed]) were selected from over 3,000 applications from 150 countries. A panel of 29 judges ([link removed]) , reviewed the finalists and determined the winners based on the transformative nature of their approach, the replicability, and potential for scale.

Thank you for making this the LARGEST Global Week to #Act4SDGs mobilization ever!
The Awards Ceremony was the conclusion of the Global Week to #Act4SDGs ([link removed]) , a global mobilization which took place during 16–25 September. While numbers are still coming in, over 130 million actions in at least 190 countries and territories have already been registered, making this the largest Global Week to #Act4SDGs mobilization ever, leaving little doubt about the scale and potential for positive collective action.
