John, we want to make it clear why Governor races matter — just as much as races for U.S. Senate or Congress. AP News reports that the winner of these Gubernatorial elections are “pivotal for the nation’s political future.”

It’s so important because Governors are our last line of defense against Republicans ripping away our fundamental freedoms. Who we elect in November could influence voting laws, declaring the winner of future presidential elections (regardless of who the voters choose), and determine whether or not abortion remains legal.

The stakes in this race couldn’t be higher. We need to give everything we can in this final month to make sure Josh Shapiro is elected as our Governor and that our freedoms are protected. Can you chip in today?

AP News also called our opponent “a Trump-backed candidate who opposes abortion rights without exceptions, spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and organized bus trips to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the day of the violent insurrection.”

We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. With so much on the line in this race, we cannot let him get that power over our democracy, our freedoms, and our future.
