The midterm elections are one month away and now is the time for all of us to take that extra step however we can to advance principled leaders up and down the ballot.
Take action in your community. Sign up to knock doors for a candidate in your area that you admire. Donate to leaders taking courageous stands. This is a critical moment for our democracy and our country. These elections - not just for the House and Senate, but also for governorships and local offices - are going to be close and every bit of effort will make a difference.
After a great Principles First swing through Texas in September, we are planning another door-knocking effort ([link removed]) in the Mesa, Arizona area from Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30 to defeat election-denier Kari Lake and support other principled leaders on the ballot. Everyone who can make it is welcome to join.
We also are hosting an Election Night Watch Party ([link removed]) in Washington, DC the night of the midterm election on Tuesday, November 8. We will reserve a dedicated space in the city and watch the returns together.
Lastly, if you haven't reserved your tickets for the 2023 Principles First Summit ([link removed]) , be sure to grab them as we are already filling up the space again and seats will be limited until we secure a larger venue.
This is an exciting time to be putting principles first. Our movement continues to grow, we are winning the argument, and our voices will surely help define the future of the country if we keep soldiering on in defense of our shared ideals. Keep going - it's working.

Doorknock with Principles First to Defeat Kari Lake in Arizona
Kari Lake has ignored and actively eroded conservative principles like truth and the rule of law since she announced her campaign. She has provided cover to the January 6th attackers and ignored the valid results of our elections in the face of overwhelming evidence both in and out of court that the 2020 election was not stolen.
To champion principled leadership, we have to show up and put in the hard work to defeat unprincipled candidates who refuse to tell Americans the truth. Principles First'ers from around the country plan to descend on the Mesa area in the days leading up to the midterm elections to help keep Kari Lake and her election-denialism far from the levers of power.
Don't just talk about principles - help us defend them. This is a meaningful action we can all take to make a difference. Join us as we walk the neighborhoods of Mesa and Gilbert and do our part to put principles first in Arizona.
For those who made it Cheyenne in support of Liz Cheney, this effort will be very similar. We will have a special dinner event that weekend and be joined by local #PrinciplesFirst officials on the ground. This should be a great time if you're able to join us.
We will communicate the full itinerary and travel options to all registrants by early next week. Be sure to register below.

Thanks to everyone who came to our Texas meetups!
We had a great turnout at our three Texas events in Dallas, Houston, and Austin! Thanks to everyone who came and shared their ideas about the future of the state and the country.
Texas has a number of key races where #PrinciplesFirst voters can make a difference and swing things. If you live in Texas, be sure to get out and vote and to remind your neighbors. Attorney General Ken Paxton continues to embarrass the state with his lies and corruption and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has joined in the chorus of election denialism. They are both unfit for office by any standard and need to be defeated.
On the heels of the event, our Texas Chair of Principles First Justin Pitcock penned a thoughtful op-ed in the Houston Chronicle titled: Should a principled Texas conservative vote for Dan Patrick? ([link removed])
"By voting our principles," Justin writes, "we can't lose."
