Hey,

Happy Fourth of July! Hopefully, you're reading this email in the sun and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

It's easy to rattle off the values we were founded on and call it a day. But now more than ever, we've got to remember what we celebrate, our freedoms:

Freedom to pursue opportunity and have a fair shot to achieve the American Dream, no matter who you are or where you're from.

Freedom to love who you choose, and to have equal rights under the law.

Freedom of the press to keep our government accountable and our citizens informed.

Freedom to make our own healthcare decisions, everywhere, every time.

These aren't just granted to us. Generations have defended our rights both at home and abroad. We owe our thanks to them.

We have to stand up for our rights and our freedoms every day and make sure the country we hand down to our kids is one that we're proud of.

So today, I hope you enjoy some time spent with loved ones. (Maybe this is the year you make the perfect burger on the grill!) Tomorrow, we continue standing up for what makes our country great.
