Friend,

I hope you are enjoying your holiday so far. Our family is certainly grateful for this brief respite from Capitol Hill and the campaign trail--and the opportunity to spend precious time together.

This Christmas we celebrate not only the birth of the Savior and the end of another year, but also the end of a decade. It gives all of us occasion to reflect on the many blessings we've been given.

We also remember in our prayers the brave men and women who are unable to spend this holiday with their own families and loved ones because they're away defending our freedom. May the Lord watch over and encourage them all.
