 August 26 BIIA Mailing Problem

We contract with the Department of Enterprise Services (DES) to print and deliver our mail.  We transmit mail to DES three times a day.  On August 26, all BIIA mail transmitted to DES at 4 p.m. wasn't printed or mailed.  The mail consisted of letters, notices, and some orders.  On September 21, we learned about the problem and re-mailed the affected August 26 mail.  Because of this, some people may have received notice for events that were in the past.  Other people may have received a letter or order dated nearly a month earlier.

Action Taken

We've met with DES and now receive a daily DES error report, which should stop a repeat of this problem.
