Friend — I'm looking at the Senate polling data coming out of Nevada. I'll be honest — it's bad.
Data for Progress has climate change denier Adam Laxalt with a one-point lead over Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, a climate champion who holds a perfect 100% rating in the latest LCV
National Environmental Scorecard.
Adam Laxalt is no ordinary candidate. He holds an infamous spot on LCV Victory Fund's
Dirty Dozen list of the
worst anti-environmental candidates in the nation this year. It gets worse — Laxalt was co-chair of Trump's 2020 Nevada campaign — and attempted to stop the vote count and overturn the 2020 election.
Along with Herschel Walker in Georgia, Blake Masters in Arizona, and Don Bolduc in New Hampshire, Laxalt is one of the
four most serious threats from MAGA extremists to current pro-environment leaders in the Senate: Senators Cortez Masto, Hassan, Kelly, and Warnock.
Friend — losing even one of these races could effectively flip the U.S. Senate to anti-environment control — which our planet and our democracy cannot afford. Yet right now, our field and mobilization efforts designed to turn out enough environmental voters to stop these dangerous candidates are significantly underfunded.
LCV Victory Fund needs your help now to turn out voters in these critical states. Already we're knocking on hundreds of thousands of doors, running strategic ad campaigns, and securing commitments to vote from climate voters, but we need more resources to reach as many people as possible through Election Day.
So we're asking:
Rush a donation to fund our field organizing and climate voter mobilization efforts in key swing states. Every contribution will be triple matched. Even $5 can make a difference >>
In states like Nevada, New Hampshire, Georgia, and Arizona, pro-environment senators are in tough races against extreme candidates endorsed by Donald Trump and funded by Big Oil.
Our electoral programs
work, Friend. In election after election, LCV Victory Fund has defeated the worst anti-environment candidates and helped environmental champions win their races.
In races this close, our efforts will make the difference if we can turn out enough voters.
But if we can't execute our full organizing and mobilization plan, Laxalt and other
Dirty Dozen candidates like Herschel Walker
could easily win.
We cannot let them replace consistent pro-environment senators with a rubber stamp for Big Oil and other corporate polluters.
We can defend these seats — but only if we can fund all of LCV Victory Fund's organizing and mobilization efforts.
Please, triple your impact by making a gift today. Your support helps us turn out voters in the states where it matters most. Even $5 helps us win in November >>
Thank you for standing up for the planet in this election.
