Happy holidays!

I'm writing to update you on what Consumer Action's been up to over the last year; put simply, we've been hard at work defending your rights to a fair, transparent marketplace.
We’ve had some really amazing “wins,” like helping to get legislation passed in the House (now in the Senate!) to protect your ability to take an abusive corporation to court. And pressuring the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to keep the agency’s massive consumer complaint database open to the public so that you can report a bank, lender or other corporation that does you wrong (and make informed decisions--based on others’ complaints--on whether or not to do business with them).

We’re fighting hard for you--despite the anti-regulatory, Wall Street-over-Main Street agenda of many in government today. But we need your help to continue. Without your support, we’re no match for the corporations and lobbyists pushing for policies that make it easier for a lender to trap your brother or sister in a cycle of debt; for a sham school to enroll your son or daughter (who just graduated from high school); or for a social media platform to steal and misuse your private data.

Your tax-deductible end-of-year donation will help to restore the balance of power between corporations and consumers in 2020. Will you join the fight?
