Workers' Compensation Summit a sold-out success
DLI's 2022 Workers' Compensation Summit, Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center was a sold-out success with nearly 250 attendees, two general sessions, 12 breakout sessions, 19 exhibitors and two sponsors. The one-day event was geared toward all workers' compensation stakeholders, including employers, insurers, providers, employee representatives, public officials and others.

Youth Skills Training Grants open Oct. 17
The next round of Youth Skills Training Grants to help build partnerships between schools, employers and community organizations opens Oct. 17, 2022. These partnerships provide students with related classroom instruction, safety training, industry-recognized credentials and paid work experience in high-growth and high-demand occupations in the industries of advanced manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, health care and information technology.

MNOSHA fatality, serious-injury investigation summaries online
Each month, Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) Compliance publishes current, updated summaries of its fatality investigations and serious-injury investigations.
For the federal-fiscal-year that began Oct. 1, 2021, MNOSHA has investigated 49 fatalities through Sept. 28.
The information provided about each investigation is:? the inspection number, date of incident and worksite city; the type of business and number of employees; a description of the event; and the outcome of the MNOSHA Compliance investigation.
