When Jagmeet and our team were out in full force on the doorsteps this election, one thing was made clear to them over and over – Canadians want pharmacare.

While people pay skyrocketing drug costs – or worse, go without lifesaving medication – the Liberals keep dragging their feet. They’ve been promising pharmacare for 22 years!

That’s why it was so disappointing to see another throne speech go by with no specific plan for pharmacare – just another promise with no details. It’s never been more clear – if we want pharmacare to actually happen, we need a strong New Democrat team to fight for it. But to show our strength and keep spreading the word about issues like pharmacare, we need to hit our end-of-year fundraising target. Will you chip in $3 right now?

John, Jagmeet has been clear since day one – and he made it clear again after the throne speech – we will not sit by while the Liberals fail to deliver universal, national pharmacare to Canadians once again.

We may not be able to depend on their hearts growing 3 sizes – but we can depend on Jagmeet and our NDP Team to keep fighting for us.

But we’re up against a lot, John. We need to show strong fundraising numbers so the other parties know we’re not slowing down. We need to have the resources to keep building on our work and spread the word about issues like pharmacare. And with a minority government – we need to be ready for anything.
