We’re nearly a month out from Election Day, and the negative ads are starting to pick up their pace.
Recently, we got word that former Vice President Pence’s PAC is buying ads in two Congressional districts – and Elissa’s is one of them.
This is all part of Republicans’ attempts to take back the House. Right now, they’re throwing anything they can into the midterms, pumping money into their super PACs and airing negative advertising, and Elissa’s seat is one of their top targets.
The proof is in the pudding: we’ve been outspent by those very same super PACs. In the last 4 weeks alone, Republican groups spent $4,711,602 on television, and Democratic groups spent $3,557,682.
However, not all dollars are created equal. Candidates get a better rate than super PACs on TV, so when Elissa's campaign spends money, those dollars get much more bang for the buck than any spending from outside organizations.
