Governor Holcomb's Economic Success Update



CEOs tell us they invest in Indiana due to our low cost, access to talent,
great location, infrastructure, and good governance.

Indiana has never been in a stronger position than it is right now … and it’s
thanks to the leadership of Governor Holcomb, Republicans in the legislature,
and hardworking Hoosiers like you.



Over the years, we’ve cut taxes again and again — including just this year —
while increasing revenues and returning$1.5 billion to taxpayers. And we’ve
worked hard to show Indiana is indeed a “state that works,” building an economy
that continues to grow. Over the last four years, our economy grew at a rate of
4.5%, outpacing the nation’s economy and that of every state we border!



This growth has allowed us to maintain a AAA credit rating and pay down over
a quarter of our total debt over just the last five years. And just last week,
we paid down another$2.5 billion! By undertaking these actions, we're moving up
the timeline for when these obligations will no longer require state funds,
which will allow us to reallocate funds and makeeven more investments in
Hoosiers.



But we’re not waiting to make important investments.



Our infrastructure, which connects Hoosiers to every part of the state, is
being supported at a historic rate. In 2017, we were building 800 statewide
road projects a year. This year, we’re building over1,300! And, we’re
completing two of the biggest passenger rail projects in the country.



We’re well on our way to reaching our goal of every Hoosier living within five
miles of trail access. And through state, federal, local, and provider
partnerships, we’ve invested over$570 million into high-speed affordable
broadband internet access.



This is just the beginning.



With your support, Governor Holcomb will continue Building One Indiana for All
and making the Hoosier state a place where people want to live, work, study,
stay, and play.
