Republican donor Barry Seid just donated his company worth $1.6 Billion to Leonard A. Leo and his Marble Freedom Trust. Leo is a conservative activist behind strategies to control the Supreme Court, finance opposition to abortion rights, support voting suppression tactis and limit climate change policy. This will have a serious impact on long term policy making and building a conservative bench to fill major decision making positions in the courts, in our state houses, and ultimately with governors and other state officials.
This is also just one of many investments that will empower conservative movements to grow their local infrastructure and wage down ballot battles to control our states from the bottom up.
Over the next two years PowerPAC will be promoting a strategy we like to call “Down is What’s Up!” (Still testing the slogans.) Down ballot battles over small town, big town, and state policy makers will be shaping our states for years to come. The Democrats and progressive donors must invest heavily in these down ballot battles.
HELP US FOR THE BATTLES TO COME! [[link removed]]
From school board, to city council, to state legislative houses, we will be waging heated fights to defend good policy and our democracy. Critical Race Theory debates, public safety reform battles, and jobs will be the arena where Leo’s $1.6 billion will dominate. Unless we move to invest now . Over the next few months we will be rolling out a clear and targeted strategy to combat this work. Help us stop the Republican onslaught on public policy and conservative roster recruitment. We have strategies to find good leaders, to train them in good policy, and to win down ballot races as we prepare for these leaders to move up the decision making ladder. What we do today could impact the next 10-20 years. Please help us prepare for the looming battle for our cities and states. [[link removed]]
Thank you for your ongoing support,

PowerPAC is a social justice organization that strategically directs financial and human resources to local and state organizations working to deliver wins in legislative fights, ballot initiatives, and more. For years the money we've raised has, dollar for dollar, been given back to the communities we work with. We've made sure that your investments were being used to build power for our communities because too often we are underrepresented and ignored.
