Rule Review Notification

Thank you for signing up to be notified when the Regulatory Compliance Division of the Office of the Governor commences a review of a proposed rule. Established pursuant to Subchapter C, Chapter 57, Texas Occupations Code, the Regulatory Compliance Division conducts an independent review of certain state agencies? proposed rules that affect market competition to assess their consistency with state policy as clearly articulated by the Legislature in state statute.

The Regulatory Compliance Division has recently commenced review of and is currently accepting public comments on the following rules:


* Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Title 22 Texas Administrative Code ??101.2, 101.3, 103.2, and 103.3. Public comments will be accepted through October 28, 2022.

Clinical examinations are required for the licensure of dentists and dental hygienists. The proposed amendments to the rules clarify that clinical examinations must use live patients or hands-on simulations.
