There’s a term in politics used to describe a last-minute momentum shift in the weeks leading up to a big election—something that can completely flip a race on its head.

It’s called an October Surprise, and since JD and I are basically tied, anything that comes out of left field could ultimately decide who controls the Senate in November.

 That’s why it’s absolutely critical that we kickstart October with a huge outpouring of grassroots support.

This is one of the closest races in the country, John.

Which means that anything and everything could have an outsized impact on the outcome of the race.

If I’m being honest, John, I don’t like leaving things up to chance. I’d much rather put some distance between me and JD in the polls so that we can pull off a massive win in November.
