While this has certainly been another difficult year full of attacks on our democracy, I think we'd all like to take a few days off to reflect on the good things that have happened this last year and the last decade as they both come to a close (Yes, I prescribe to the belief that 2020, not 2021, is the first year of the new decade. I respect our potential differences in this heated debate.)
This is the decade I met all of you as you welcomed me home to Minnesota. This is the decade I met, fell in love with, and married my truly amazing wife, Denise. This is the decade I served my country in the Air Force and learned exactly what it means to be part of something much greater than myself. This is the decade we all proved that Congressional District 6 can be a competitive seat and is home to more progressive fighters than any of us knew.
I can't thank you enough for all the love and support you've shown over the years. Let's bring in the new year with renewed hope and determination in our hearts! Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone!
