I know you’re getting a lot of emails. But I need to explain what’s at stake in this election.

I’m a veteran. I’m a public servant. And, I am a candidate running for Congress. But I’m also a dad.

I feel a responsibility to my daughter and four nieces — and every kid out there — to leave them a country that’s better than I found it.

For me, that means:

— Stopping the NRA from paying politicians to vote down real gun safety legislation.
— Passing laws to expand services for our veterans and military families.
— Ousting Republicans who want to control reproductive rights.

Please believe me when I say: There has never been more on the line than in this election. I’m fighting for my family and yours, but I can’t do it alone — not when Tony Gonzales has nearly $2 million to use against me. We’ve set a goal to raise another $700 before midnight tonight. Can I count on you to donate $3 or more now? [[link removed]]

I’ll be honest: I don’t like asking you for money. But here’s why I have to do it.

Republicans are inches from taking back the House majority in Washington — and they’ll keep sacrificing our children's futures and our families if we can’t stop them.

Flipping this seat is the BEST chance to protect our majority in this election.

So as a father, veteran, and candidate, I’m humbly asking: Will you fight with me? I’m calling on my supporters to rush $3 to help us hit our goal, win this election, and protect our future. [[link removed]]

Thank you,
John
