Crisis Pregnancy Center Action Planning

Monday, October 3 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Mutual Aid committee is hosting a planning meeting to discuss having an action to counter the misinformation and harmful practices that crisis pregnancy centers continue to perpetuate.

In the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned there has been an outpouring of support and actions to provide aid to abortion clinics and other providers that deal in reproductive health. However we believe that there needs to be more done to address those that purposely use misinformation and intimidation to force people to not have abortions.

Please join us in having this discussion and gathering information.

Healthcare Justice Committee Meeting

Tuesday, October 4 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Please RSVP here to join us for our October Healthcare Justice Committee meeting! We plan on discussing our work plan for the year and more. Zoom link will be provided directly to RSVPs, and an agenda will be sent prior to the meeting.

The Business Plot & War is a Racket – DSA-LA SFV Marxism Reading Group

Thursday, October 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In this session of The Decline of Neoliberalism and the Rise of American Fascism, we’ll be discussing podcasts about imperialism and the The Business Plot, plus Butler’s pamphlet War is a Racket.

What is the connection between imperialism, fascism, and finance capital? Under what conditions could another business plot develop in the US? Please join us as we discuss the assigned material and attempt to answer these questions.

A collaborative doc with the text and Zoom connection information will be provided. Please RSVP for access.

The discussion group is open to all, including DSA members outside of the San Fernando Valley and non-DSA members.
