If we’re going to hold Big Oil accountable to lower costs and protect our environment, we have to elect leaders willing to stand up to their bullshit.
The oil and gas industry has already spent more than $64 million on lobbying this year alone. In a hearing earlier this year that was meant to hold Big Oil CEOs accountable for the skyrocketing price of gas, 10 of the 19 members who sat on the committee running the hearing had received campaign contributions from companies like Exxon, Shell, and BP America. Of the $383,000 that Big Oil has given to these committee members, 97% of the money went to Republicans.
Katie is proud to reject all of Big Oil’s money. And from introducing legislation to end their unfair subsidies to holding them accountable for deceptive marketing, she’ll always stand up to Big Oil.
