JOHN, being a dad to my son Miles has given me a lot to brag about. But, one particular right of passage has me over the moon: being able to officially tell dad jokes.

What do you call someone with no body and no nose? Nobody knows!

(My son thinks I’m hilarious… that’s all that matters, right?)

Corny jokes aside, I’m reaching out to you about something that’s no laughing matter: our race here in NY-11 against my far-right opponent, Nicole Malltiotakis.

But JOHN, if the dad joke was good enough for you and/or you already know how high-stakes my race is, I’m asking you to please make a personal high contribution to support my campaign today.

Nicole Malliotakis is the only Republican member of Congress in New York City and is further right than Mitch McConnell on some issues, including her refusal to accept the results of the presidential election.

But JOHN, it’s not just that issue on which Nicole has failed to deliver for people across our district. It’s also the fact that she voted against codifying Roe v. Wade twice and voted against protecting access to female contraception. When I was in Congress, I supported the Women’s Health Protection Act which would’ve codified Roe – something that I’m ready to do again.

During my time serving in Afghanistan, I saw firsthand what assault rifles are capable of. And I will continue to support banning them; weapons of war have no place on our streets. But my opponent voted against a bill that would ban semi-automatic weapons.

With every mass shooting our country has experienced, the public has seen just how powerful these weapons are. They shouldn’t be for sale and we’d save so many of our neighbors and children’s lives if we took action. I’m proud to have received an ‘F’ from the NRA on my voting record while in Congress, something my opponent can’t say about herself.

After being on the ground and talking to voters across our district, I can say that people are eager for change. They want a representative who will put their families first and advocate for them in Congress.

I’m confident that I can be that person but first my campaign has to raise what it needs to win on Election Day. Can you help me out by chipping in as much as you can to support my battleground campaign here in NY-11? I’d be so grateful for your support.
