It makes me sick, friend.

Republicans have been shredding reproductive rights since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June. And now, Senator Lindsey Graham just proposed a national abortion ban at the federal level. The GOP won't stop until they take away reproductive rights for every single American.

I pledge to do all I can as Senate Majority Leader to defend abortion access and ensure every American has the freedom to make their own health decisions -- and I know my Democratic colleagues are with me on this. Add your name to my petition if you're against a national abortion ban.

Graham's ban would outlaw abortions after 15 weeks, with few exceptions. And if we lose our majority during the midterms, Republicans will gain control and vote on this bill -- and there's a very strong chance it'll pass.

"No abortion on demand," is their rallying cry, but anyone with a shred of compassion knows that the decision to terminate a pregnancy, no matter the circumstances, is never one that someone makes "on demand." This is an intensely personal, often traumatic experience, and we must ensure access to abortion remains safe, accessible, and legal for anyone who needs one.

Banning abortion will jeopardize the health of millions and cultivate an atmosphere of shame, fear, and control. It will disproportionately impact already marginalized communities and continue the cycle of poverty. This plan is disgusting, and it must be stopped.
