Hi John,

When I first ran for Congress in 2006, I won by just 83 votes – the tightest House race that year.

It looks like our election this year will be just as close, so can you chip in today to help me defeat my right-wing opponent?

I’m proud of that 83 vote margin, because I know the hard work it took to earn it: Meeting with voters across eastern Connecticut, listening to the problems they face, and sharing with them my commitment to our community and the families that call it home.

That’s still how I campaign today, John. Meeting with folks to have meaningful conversations about the struggles unique to eastern Connecticut is the most impactful part of my job. It’s how I know that the National Republicans targeting our race are wrong for eastern Connecticut families — they just don’t understand us.

That 2006 election proves why we can’t afford to take our foot off the gas. This year’s election looks like it could be even closer, so it’s critical that we have the resources to meet with voters, run ads, and fight back against my right-wing opponent’s attacks. If there is any amount you can chip in today to help me prove eastern Connecticut isn’t up for grabs, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for your support,
