Victory - Round 1! Thanks to all of you, Joe Manchin just suffered a
defeat of his Dirty Deal to fast-track fossil fuels! We know the industry
goons won’t give up, and we need to keep this same energy when the dirty
deal rears its ugly head again - but for now, we celebrate!

Bernie Sanders thanked our coalition for the hard work and organizing that
led to this win, and [ [link removed] ]People’s World reported on the “blitz” of our
rapid response. Our Revolution members sent thousands of calls to
legislators right up to the end.

Sens. Jeff Merkley, Ed Markey, Cory Booker, and Tammy Duckworth
joined Bernie to pledge no votes, and the deal was stripped from the
Senate bill to fund the government.

community protections & zero-out climate steps in the Inflation Reduction

Our Revolution launched this fight early, and we took the fight directly
to Capitol Hill on Tuesday!

Our coalition of frontline activists and climate advocates like Bill
McKibben spoke against the deal — which would expedite dozens if not
hundreds of some of the dirtiest fossil fuel projects every year,
including the Mountain Valley Pipeline, the emissions equivalent of adding
37 coal plants per year.

“We know this isn’t dead yet, and we’ll keep fighting,” OR National

working with our coalition, demanding senators respect the land and the
people who live here.”

Early voting has started in Minnesota, and we’re fighting to re-elect
Attorney General Keith Ellison and defeat his far-right extremist
opponent!

The choice is clear. Keith fought corporate price-gouging during the
pandemic and led the conviction of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George
Floyd.

While Keith works to hold corporations and the powerful accountable, his

Jamie McLeod-Skinner won one of the most important races this primary
season, overcoming a barrage of spending by Big Pharma for a resounding
victory over Kurt Shrader — one of the worst Democrats in the House.

Now, in the general election, she’s up against a Republican extremist who
wants to criminalize abortion and sides with election deniers.

time of crisis and we need leaders who care about people, planet, and
democracy. It’s about accountability to the people and not
mega-corporations.”

On Santa Clara City Council, Jamie championed renewable energy and climate
action, and on Jefferson County School Board, she developed statewide
racial justice and equity policy.

Jamie is a working-class former union member, and she’s committed to
serving working families and protecting our democracy.

Michelle Vallejo has our support for Congress in Texas’ 15th District — a
toss-up district, where she won by just 35 votes in the primary!

“South Texas has been used as a political backdrop for radical Republicans

“I’m up against a Trump-endorsed Latina who has given her power to outside
corporate interests and the radical right agenda.”

This is a critical seat to hold onto, not just for the House majority but
to strengthen it with a progressive champion who puts people first.

Michelle is a champion of abortion rights, Medicare for All, and a $15
minimum wage. She has co-founded two organizations to support community
leaders and women in business, and she’s worked for immigrants’ rights.

“Being progressive in South Texas isn’t new, but right now we have a

Corporation Commissioner - a powerful down-ballot seat that regulates
utility monopolies, railroads, and more.

And, now, we have a chance to elect the consumer watchdog and climate
champion who could help set energy standards for a renewable energy
transition.

“In the past, it was called ‘the corruption commission’ because they

and want to do away with all standards and goals.

Lauren is a two-term council member and former vice mayor of Tempe, AZ.
She is a sustainability scientist at AZ State University and a recognized
national champion for climate action and clean energy.

“We’ve had 53 days over 100 degrees here, the worst drought in 1200 years.

The Biden administration is cutting down student debt relief —
disqualifying those whose federal loans are held by private lenders.

Around 770,000 people will be affected by the change, [ [link removed] ]CNN reports. Our
Revolution will not stop fighting until all student debt is canceled and
all public higher education is tuition-free.

RALLY WITH AMAZON WORKERS IN ALBANY NY

Our Revolution NYPAN will Rally for Amazon Labor Union with Albany
warehouse workers at 1 pm ET on Oct. 10 — ahead of their union vote set to
run from Oct. 12-17.

This is one of the exciting organizing campaigns in our own Capital
Region! Lunch break for workers is around 1:30 pm so we’ll see workers and
support them two days before their voting starts!

Earlier this month, Amazon lost a key battle in its attempt to reverse the
union’s victory in Staten Island. An NLRB official recommended Amazon’s
