John, I'm a big baseball guy (a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan and a proud member of the Democrats’ Congressional baseball team!). I know what a tight game looks like, and the midterm elections are as tight as it gets.

Right now, we're in the bottom of the 9th, and the score is tied. Which team will control the Senate after this election is anyone's guess. These next few weeks are our final chance to pull ahead in the battleground states that will decide Senate control – and, John, we can't give up now.

With polls neck and neck in flippable states like Pennsylvania and Democratic incumbents pulling ahead in places like Arizona, Democrats are just barely favored to maintain our majority! The bases are loaded, and we just need one big hit to bring this thing home. But Mitch McConnell and his corporate megadonors won't hesitate to play dirty and pour millions of dark money into backing their far-right candidates.

With so much on the line, we can't strike out in our last at-bat. With just a couple of weeks until the election, we have to be ready to fight back against McConnell's attack ads, counter GOP spending, and power our Democratic candidates to victory. That's why I have to ask: Please, will you donate $5 or more to defend our Senate majority and secure victory this November?
