*Latest System Updates*

In September, we released new updates to improve your experience on data.census.gov [ [link removed] ]. With this release, you will now see:


* Safari browser support
* Streamlined filters for detailed population groups
* Improved URLs for Profiles
* Fixes to 22 defects

A major feature of the release is support for the Safari browser. With this release, you will have an improved site experience in Safari and will no longer receive messages that the browser is not supported. This applies when accessing Safari through the desktop and mobile versions.

We also simplified labels in the filter panel for race, ethnicity, ancestry, and country of birth groups. You will no longer see codes in the panel for these filters. We proactively made this change in anticipation upcoming data releases for detailed population groups that will make use of a new set of codes. Removing the code avoids duplication in the filter panel when the new set of codes are released and will make it easier for you to choose the correct filter for the data you need.

Finally, we updated URLs for Geography and Industry Profiles. These Profiles now include the page title in the URL. This makes it easier for you to read the URLs and easier for external search engines to link to the content on our site.
