Dear Members and Supporters,

Let's Come Together United Against The Tories and Make the 5th November National Demonstration Huge!

We certainly crashed into the Tory Party Conference this Sunday! Protesters got through the police cordon and many confronted Tory delegates with passionate heckles, boos and chants of 'shame on you.' There was no doubt that the Tories were not welcome in Birmingham or in government.

Prior to this, thousands of protesters had gathered in Birmingham's Victoria Square to hear from an array of great speakers and performers from across the movement. See our
Facebook page ([link removed]) for photos and videos from the demonstration (including a recording of the rally speeches ([link removed]) ).

A clear message from the speakers was the need for the whole movement to come together in maximum unity if we're going to defeat the vicious, corrupt and ruthless Tory government. The mini budget made it abundantly clear that the Tories work only for their class - for the wealthy and big business. They will crush our rights as workers, our democratic rights, our public services, our NHS and much more. At the same time, they will implement enhanced profiteering, privatisation and crushing austerity.

That's if we let them.

Our power is in our numbers and in collective organisation. And it's going to take every single one of us, including all our campaigns, organisations, and trade unions, every strike we can win, every protest, every direct action, every demonstration, if we're going to succeed. Mick Lynch (RMT, General Secretary) emphasised this in his speech, too:

'We're going to come onto the streets, and we're going to be united as a working class, and we're going to defeat the government....the time is now. We cannot wait. We're going to bring down this government and get a new one.'

So it's crucial we unite, mobilise and come together, including for the National Demonstration called by the People's Assembly on Saturday 5th November in London. We need help from all our members and supporters to help us build this and make it huge. Can you help us?
Click here to become a People's Assembly member ([link removed]) (if you're not already) and we'll link you to a local group. Also encourage your campaigns, organisations, unions and union branches to mobilise for the demonstration.

We are organising coaches from various locations in the U.K. More details on this to follow.
