Last week was an exciting week for education freedom as Arizona successfully defended their school-choice legislation from anti-school-choice activists. Carson Steelman breaks down in detail what happened in our most recent podcast.

In July, Arizona signed into law an Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program. This program funds students, not systems, by allowing them to choose whichever school they want to attend and then allocats over $6,500 in funds to that student.

This is one of the reasons why Arizona ranked so high on The Heritage Foundation’s Education Freedom Report Card.

But the Left tried to destroy this legislation by gathering enough signatures to trigger an AZ law that would make the ESA program subject to a referendum. This would have delayed school-choice until 2024!

Heritage Action activists joined in with thousands of other concerned parents to support the “Decline to Sign” campaign to discourage signatures. Thanks to activists like you, the Left was unable to gather the signatures they needed to delay school choice.
