Criminal Cartels Are Now A $20 Billion Business

Thanks to the Biden Administration's reckless open border policies, human smuggling has only become more lucrative for criminal cartels. Because of increased demand, the average price paid for smuggling an illegal immigrant across our southern border is up roughly $2,000 and has become a $20 billion business. This August alone, there were 203,597 illegal immigrant encounters at our southern border, a 307% increase in illegal crossings compared to the last August of President Trump's administration. This is simply unacceptable.

Student Loan Relief

President Biden’s so-called plan to "forgive" student loan debt won’t provide relief to the average American. Instead it will cost American taxpayers an additional $400 billion. This plan is calling for 210 million Americans with no student loan debt to take on the debt of just 45 million borrowers, with the majority of those loans held by the wealthiest amongst us. In fact, those in the top fifth of household incomes hold $3 in student loans for every $1 held by the bottom fifth of household incomes. Once again, President Biden’s reckless spending means hardworking, everyday Americans will suffer at the expense of far-left political priorities.
