After knocking on doors all week, it’s pretty clear that folks have a lot weighing on their minds this election. And rightfully so, because there's so much at stake: safe abortion access, affordable healthcare, gun violence prevention, environmental action, and the fate of our democratic institutions.

Whether you’re worried, calm, optimistic, angry – I’m with you.

What we do at this moment matters. In fact, NBC Chicago said recently that IL-06 could help “swing the pendulum” at the national level.

We need to win this, and simply having enough resources is half the battle – so I’ll ask you here to chip in $10 or $20 to support our fight.

Consider the things we're grateful for each day. Be angry, scared, pissed off – but don't let it stop us from taking action. Remember that our choices, both big and small, have an impact. Stay hopeful and positive. Find common ground with each other wherever we can.

Folks, you've had my back through three elections. I wouldn’t be here without you, and I want you to know that in Washington, I will always have your back, too.
