John,
So here we are, in the final stretch to the midterm elections that will determine the fate of our democracy for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. Let’s not fall asleep at the switch again. Let’s not wake up on Nov. 9 wishing we had done more in key states like Michigan.
We know what we’re up against: an extremist movement, the MAGA Trump cult, that has abandoned all pretense of upholding American principles. That will say or do anything to gain power. And it is up to all of us to defend the Constitution and rule of law.

New red hat. Same Big Lie.
In state after state, we’re building a grand coalition for democracy that includes Republicans of goodwill, independents, and Dems from center to left; that stands with courageous leaders like Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Secy of State Jocelyn Benson, Atty Gen. Dana Nessel, Rep. Elissa Slotkin and all who agree that Trump and his minions belong nowhere near the levers of power.
What Can I Do to Help Michigan? Below you will find pointers to some meaningful actions with organizations in need of dedicated, democracy-loving volunteers like you — NOW.

Over the next 35 days, it all comes down to Michigan and a handful of other states; to 20 governors races across the country; to down-ballot elections where Pro-Democracy candidates are facing off against Big Lie Election Deniers. To democracy or chaos in these United States. For the latest on the situation in Michigan, RSVP to attend a virtual Town Hall on Monday at 8 pm ET ([link removed]) .
Please reach out to one friend today, ask them to stand together with us, and get them to join The Union ([link removed]) . And follow us on Twitter ([link removed]) , Facebook ([link removed]) , and Instagram ([link removed]) .
