CNN just reported that my Republican opponent John Gibbs believes that women shouldn’t have the right to vote, and has made public statements that “the United States has suffered as a result of women’s suffrage.” We knew our opponent was an anti-abortion, pro-Trump extremist – but this is utterly outrageous. Previously, MI-03 was an R+5 district, meaning it had solid Republican-leaning. But after redistricting, MI-03 is now rated a “Lean Dem” district – meaning this is one of the best Democratic pick-up opportunities of the cycle.
