If Republicans take control of the U.S. House and Senate in 37 days, they’ll do everything in their power to eliminate reproductive rights – anywhere they still exist – across the country and in Oregon.

Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy recently visited Oregon because the road to a Republican House majority runs through our state. To stop McCarthy and Republicans from taking over, it’s critical that we elect Sen. Ron Wyden and Democrats to all six of Oregon’s U.S. House seats.

The Democratic Party of Oregon has proven over and over that we know how to win tough elections. It’s all about “people power” – neighbors talking to neighbors at their front doors or over the phone. That is how we cut through the lies that people read on social media or see on Fox News.

Many Oregonians think that because we have the most progressive reproductive rights laws in the country, abortion care will always be safe. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Tina Kotek is the only true champion of reproductive rights in the race for Governor. If Republican Christine Drazan or Betsy Johnson are elected, they could:

anti-abortion
judges
to
Oregon’s
courts,
who
could
play
decisive
roles
in
the
generational
fight
to
restore
our
reproductive
rights.

Appoint
anti-abortion
agency
leaders
who
would
have
the
power
to
end
programs
and
partnerships
that
the
state
currently
has
with
clinics
and
other
organizations
that
are
providing
essential
reproductive
health
services
across
the
state.
*
Veto
bills
or
budgets
that
aim
to
expand
access
to
abortion,
birth
control,
and
sex
education.

And if anyone thinks Betsy Johnson isn’t a threat to reproductive health, listen to her top Republican supporter, Bridget Barton, who said that Johnson’s position on abortion is “virtually identical” to Christine Drazan’s.

Reproductive rights are under attack nationwide and in Oregon.
