After the attack on our Capitol on January 6, 2021, many major corporations pledged to suspend donations to the 147 GOP members of Congress who objected to the certification of the 2020 presidential election and helped fuel the Big Lie.

They made that pledge under intense public pressure demanding accountability for anyone aiding and abetting the insurrectionists who are threatening our democracy.

But since then, those same corporations -- including American Express, Toyota, Walgreens, UPS, Lockheed Martin, Home Depot, and AT&T -- have abandoned their pledges and resumed donations to these insurrectionist Republicans and the committees supporting them.

In fact, corporate donors have given more than $16 million since January 6th.^[1]

Corporations think they can get away with it, because they think we’re no longer paying attention. It’s up to us to prove them wrong.

We can't let corporations get away with pledging to help preserve our democracy while privately funding the people working to destroy it.

As of September, 71 corporations, including PepsiCo, Nike, Zillow, Marriott, Target, and others, had kept their vow to withhold funding from insurrectionists.

If they can do it, so can everyone else.

American Express, Toyota, Walgreens, UPS, Lockheed Martin, Home Depot, AT&T, and the rest of those who pledged to stop -- but then restarted as soon as they thought we weren’t paying attention -- should not be able to hedge their bets when it comes to defending democracy. They’re either against the insurrectionists, or they’re with them -- and right now, they’re choosing to be with them.

These corporations have chosen to support insurrectionist Republicans instead of American democracy.

We can't let corporations get away with pledging to help preserve our democracy while simultaneously privately funding the people working to destroy it. Demand corporate America stop funding insurrectionists now!

The January 6th committee is showing all of America how Trump and MAGA Republicans planned, promoted, and conspired to overturn the 2020 election. These same bad actors haven't slowed down since.

By continuing to fund their campaigns, these corporations are encouraging bad actors to continue undermining our democracy and poisoning voters’ minds with outlandish conspiracy theories.

Republicans wouldn’t be able to maintain the status quo if Corporate America wasn’t bankrolling them. That’s why it’s critical we get them to keep their pledge now.
