John – before I tell you about my critical race for reelection,
I want to take you back to when I first ran for the U.S. Senate. 

Heading into the 2016 election, Democrats knew that the landscape would be
a difficult one to win in. But my team came out of the gate strong, raised
grassroots dollars, knocked thousands of doors, and in an otherwise
sobering, awful election, we were able to buck national trends and flip
this seat.

Now, Democrats are facing what is perhaps an even more difficult
environment. So to keep this seat – a seat that the Democratic Senate
majority hinges on– we’ll need to defy the odds again. But we won’t do
that with luck. Instead, we’ll do it by hard work, detailed planning, and
(as is the reality of political campaigns) strong fundraising. 

[ [link removed] ]So if you can split a donation between my campaign and No Dem Left
Behind [ [link removed] ]to help us hold this seat, and with it our Senate majority,
please do. If Democrats lose it will pave Mitch McConnell’s path back to
the Majority Leader’s office.

I’ll level with you – winning in a state as purple as New Hampshire isn’t
easy under the most favorable conditions. And these are certainly not the
most favorable conditions. Whether it's the difficult political
environment or the over $53 million the GOP is spending on smearing me,
there has never been a more important time to have the resources to fight
back.

kind of campaign that can overcome the toughest odds.

I have never been one to back down from a challenge, and winning this race
is certainly going to be one, but I am confident that with the support of
