Hello
,
------------------------------------------------------------

What does a year of accountability look like?

At Campaign for Accountability, our 2019 included victories and big projects like:
* Michigan terminating its contract with an anti-choice group that we documented had a record of lying to state officials, self-dealing, and wasting taxpayer resources.
* Continuing to expose Google’s sprawling efforts to fight regulations and invade public life including releasing reports on:
+ How Google has invaded America’s schools and is targeting kids,
+ Its latest astroturf efforts to pose as the voice of small businesses,
+ How Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) went from being one of Google’s biggest antagonists to its biggest proponents,
+ How it spent over $500 million on grants to media organizations.
* An ethics investigation into Interior Secretary David Bernhardt for failing to properly disclose his lobbying work and conflicts of interest.
* Uncovering the Trump administration’s aggressive attempts to roll back reproductive rights, including giving over $5 million meant for birth control programs to an anti-choice group that opposes birth control.

We’re proud of what our small but mighty team achieved. But we’re also looking ahead to what we want to accomplish in 2020:
* Defend ourselves against Rep. Devin Nunes’ bizarre lawsuit to try to silence us and shut us down,
* Continuing to push for federal and state leaders to stop funding fake anti-choice healthcare clinics,
* Making sure groups that illegally texted hundreds of thousands of voters in Florida and Indiana in 2018 are investigated,
* Continue to grow our movement by connecting with new supporters,
* And as always, living up to our mission to hold politicians, corporations, and special interests accountable.

We’re proud of our work and hope you are, too. Together, we’ll make sure 2020 is a record year for accountability.

Thank you,

Dan, Alice, Julia, and Bryan
