Last night was the final quarterly financial deadline of the entire campaign, and we came up short. 

Honestly, this is very bad news for our campaign unless we can regain the momentum today and make up our deficit.  

Please, can Scott count on you to help?

John, we’ll be honest with you about exactly where things stand.  If we don’t raise another $984 before midnight, we are going to need to cut our voter contact budget. This race is going to be decided by a razor-thin margin, and if we don’t have the resources to execute our plan, we will not win.  

So, please, will you rush in support so we can avoid budget cuts?

We will make sure Scott gets a list of every donor who contributes in response to this email so he can thank you personally!
