John, it’s downright terrifying that so many elected officials who actively participated in the plot to overthrow American democracy still hold power in positions at every level of government.

Very few of these “fake electors” have been held accountable, including our far-right Republican opponent Burt Jones. He’s the only fake elector running for statewide office in 2022.

Jones was one of sixteen fake electors who protested the results of Georgia’s free and fair elections in 2020. And when things didn’t go their way, Burt made a trip on his daddy’s plane to Washington D.C. on January 5th to meet with Vice President Pence in an attempt to convince him to negate the elector votes. We all know what happened the next day: A violent mob, encouraged by President Trump and Republicans touting a “stolen election” stormed the Capitol.

Right now, dozens of named co-conspirators in Georgia – including my opponent – are under direct investigation by the Department of Justice for their roles in these events. It’s only a matter of time until it’s revealed that Burt and his pro-Trump cronies willfully ignored the voice of the people, the U.S. Constitution, and federal law in an attempt to overthrow the government.

John, Charlie Bailey is running for Lieutenant Governor because he believes in the principles of American democracy – free and fair elections, equal voting rights, and honest elected representation.
