When you beat the odds and surprise everybody to win a Congressional primary, you’ll get a lot of people asking how you did it.

There was no big political secret behind my win. There was YOU, John.

Every single dollar people like you chipped in allowed me to run the campaign I wanted: One that values Gen Z as the legitimate powerhouse we are. One that refuses to shy away from the realities we face. One that isn’t just a piggy bank for shady special interest millionaires to fill when they feel like it.

Because here’s the deal: You can’t demand your rightful seat at the political table if you rely on the people who have always set that table and parked themselves there. That’s the kind of lazy organizing and status-quo reliance that have made it such an anomaly for someone who looks like me to represent their own community.

I didn’t count on the status quo, and I won’t count on it to win my general election, either. I’m going to rely on what actually works: Asking you to chip in whatever you can to power a campaign that leads with honesty and integrity.
