John,

Over the past two years, the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress have used their mandate to take historic action against climate change. From massive investments in clean energy to clamping down on polluters, Democrats are doing the work that needs to be done to save our planet.

Across the aisle, however, Republicans have tried to stop every single climate initiative that’s passed through Congress. Now, the House GOP has unveiled their energy agenda called the “Commitment to America” plan for the 2023-2024 session if they take back the chamber – and John, it’s as bad as we thought it would be.

We already knew a Republican takeover of the House would spell the end for President Biden’s climate agenda, but this plan takes it a step further. It would send us backwards. Not only does it call for maximizing “the production of reliable, American-made energy” (which we all know means drill baby drill! ), it also fails to mention reducing carbon pollution or addressing climate change entirely.

We can’t afford to let Republicans take back the House this fall or this disastrous plan will prevent any meaningful climate policy from passing Congress in the next 2 years. Can you rush a donation today to help re-elect our SEEC members and protect the Democratic majority? [[link removed]]

DONATE [[link removed]]This is really getting old, John. It’s 2022, and Republicans are STILL running on a platform of climate denial. What more is it going to take? Unfortunately, the sad truth is the GOP will never get on board with a clean energy agenda. Their Big Oil backers simply won’t allow it.

That’s why it’s critical that we not only protect our Democratic majority, but expand it by electing even more climate-friendly candidates to the House this November. Our SEEC members have led the charge to help President Biden deliver on his historic climate agenda. Now, they need our help to continue that work in 2023 and beyond. Can you make a donation to support our SEEC members and help expand our clean energy coalition in Congress? [[link removed]]

Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
