Stormwater Management & Infrastructure Impact Public Hearing
|
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and staying dry! I wanted to remind you that my Stormwater Management & Infrastructure Impact Public Hearing is Monday, October 3rd, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Upper Providence Township Building. I will be joined by a panel of local experts, academics, and community members to discuss our current management process for storm water, local sustainability efforts, past and potentially future infrastructure changes, and how we can improve all of the above to work better for our community.
Year after year we have seen extreme storms hitting our region that have resulted in loss of life, property, and infrastructure. Regardless of season or storm, flooding has become the most damaging consequence of extreme weather in our community. And the fact remains, that our current stormwater systems are outdated due to time itself and poor building plans, but we can make improvements! This public hearing will be a crucial conversation for our community to discuss how we can prepare for the future and what we do now.
I am hoping you will be able to join us for this event! If you are unable to make it, I will include a full recap of our conversations in next week's email.
Stay safe!
