VoteRiders proudly partnered with other democracy groups recently to celebrate National Voter Registration Day! We hope you celebrated too, by reminding your friends and family to register to vote, update their voter registration, or check their status.

If you missed it, you still have time to make a difference!

Here are a few highlights from VoteRiders’ National Voter Registration Day events:

Arizona Coordinator Dani helped educate voters at a voter registration event at the Phoenix Indian Center that received great media coverage.

Our Florida team spoke at the statewide Disability Rights Florida Summit about the importance of voter ID in addition to registration, and helped educate voters at an event in Apopka. 

We celebrated Civics Days with Microsoft in Austin and Atlanta! Our teams trained Microsoft employees to be voter ID assistance volunteers and gave them a chance to make a difference by writing letters to voters.

Our Michigan team took part in a National Voter Registration Day community event hosted by Embrace the Rock in Detroit.

VoteRiders' Pennsylvania coordinator organized our first Voter ID Clinic with the NAACP of Philadelphia. We will be hosting weekly clinics together through Election Day!

Our Wisconsin coordinator attended a flurry of events, including providing voter ID information at a big National Voter Registration Day Block Party with the League of Women Voters at the Deer District (home of the 2021 NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks).

Our key message at these events was that in the 36 states with voter ID laws, registering to vote may not be enough.

That’s why we hope you also can share this email widely to remind everyone you know to do an #IDCheck with VoteRiders. Once they have, they can make a plan to vote early or on Election Day, knowing they have the ID they need to cast a ballot that counts.

With less than 40 days to go until the midterm elections, it’s all hands on deck and full steam ahead. The dedication of the VoteRiders community makes our work possible and helps us reach even more voters in these crucial final weeks. 

Whether you are a longtime supporter of VoteRiders or have just discovered our incredibly effective work, I hope you’ll do all you can today to ensure every eligible voter can vote with confidence.
