1. There is No One Path to Politics

In the fight for representation in Alaska, our Spotlight candidates Andrew Gray and Jennie Armstrong reflect on their journeys. Jennie is a lifelong activist who knew parents needed a voice in the Alaska legislature. Despite their different backgrounds, both bring a passion for equality and for a better future. They are both running to be the first out LGBTQ people elected to the Alaska state legislature!

2. The 2020 Election Results and Reproductive Rights Should Not be up for Debate

Yet, these were the key topics of Thursday’s Arizona Attorney General debate. Game Changer candidate Kris Mayes argued against her opponent’s, Abe Hamadeh, wild claims of election fraud. Hamadeh has said before that he plans to prosecute those he claims were involved in “election fraud.” He also plans to enforce a near-total abortion ban, while Mayes reminded us that he has no right to tell anyone what to do with their bodies.

“George Santos represents the greatest threat to our democracy of any candidate running for Congress in New York State. I really can’t underscore that enough.”

Game Changer candidate Robert Zimmerman is fighting to preserve fundamental freedom and protect democracy in the first Congressional race between two out gay candiates. His extremist opponent, George Santos, continues to push for the erosion of reproductive rights and has proven to be an enemy of free and fair elections – even going so far as to describe his participation in January 6th as a “front row spectacle.”

6. VA Students Walk Out Against Youngkin's Anti-Trans Policy

Gen-Z will not take transphobia lying down. Hundreds of students walked out of their classrooms in protest of Gov. Youngkin's new anti-trans policy that would require trans students to use wrong locker rooms and bathrooms, restrict trans students’ ability to play sports, and increase parental notification.

“When Barbara Johns walked out, people told her she should have stayed put too. Student voices matter and #Virginia students today are following in her footsteps,” said Danica Roem, who is running to be the first out transgender state senator ever elected in Virginia.
