The holidays are here, and that means the dinner table is about to get a
lot more political for a whole lot of people. But I have good news: we
built a website that will teach you all the best ways to talk to friends
and relatives about Medicare for All.

[ [link removed] ]Please try it out here. Take a minute or two to run through the various
scenarios — and don’t forget to hone your skills! You’ll be an expert in
diplomatic dinner table discussions in no time.

A lot of folks have asked me where the inspiration for this web tool came
from, and the truth is: it all stems from our on-the-ground canvassing
experiences.

As face-to-face organizers, we know that the majority of people are
unhappy with our current health care system. We also know that when we
approach these conversations by sharing stories with empathy and
understanding — rather than trying to “win” the argument — we can actually
change hearts and minds much more easily.

This tactic works. It’s called the Response Cycle, and we use it all the
time while canvassing. Now YOU can use it this holiday season and finally
convince those aunts, uncles, cousins, and neighbors that Medicare for All
is the best and only fix for our broken health care system.

[ [link removed] ]Go through a practice discussion about Medicare for All today! The
program will teach you how to react to a variety of situations and prepare
you for whatever the dinner table throws your way.

Wishing you the best of luck at the dinner table this
year. And a big happy
holidays from all of us to you and yours.
