Tell DOT: Measure Greenhouse Gas Pollution from Highways

View this email in your browser ([link removed])
Dear John,

Transportation is the leading source of greenhouse gas pollution in the United States. It is literally driving our climate crisis and we must act.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has proposed a rule requiring states and regions to track greenhouse gas pollution from highways and set targets for reducing it. Your voice is needed right now. Tell DOT you support this critical climate action because we cannot manage what we don’t measure.

This proposed rule includes critical requirements to measure greenhouse gas emissions and publicly report the findings, empowering state and local leaders to better connect their transportation decisions with climate goals.

Unfortunately, anti-environmental interests are opposing this sensible step toward addressing the climate crisis. That’s why we must step up and voice our support -- and even push DOT to make it stronger. We simply can’t afford the cost of climate inaction any longer.

Please tell the DOT to finalize the rule to measure climate pollution from transportation. ([link removed])

Thank you,

Ann Mesnikoff
Federal Legislative Director
